WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL YEAST? Nutritional yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast grown for food and subsequently inactivated.

During inactivation, the yeast loses its ability to reproduce and ferment. It therefore no longer makes dough rise and is not the same as baker's yeast or sourdough starter.

Nutritional yeast is used as a nutritious food ingredient. It does not need to be activated or specially prepared—the powder can be added directly to food.

IMMUNITY FRIEND contains mild-tasting inactive nutritional yeast. It is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. No animal-derived ingredients, artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives are used in the production of the yeast raw material.

NATURAL DRIED BILBERRIES AND ROSEHIPS The product contains powder made from Lithuanian Vaccinium myrtillus berries and organic seedless rosehip powder. The berries are dried at a low temperature of 42–50°C and ground without any additives.

Dried berries naturally contain fibre and various plant-derived compounds. They give the blend its rich colour and naturally mild, sweet-and-tart berry flavour.

HIGH IN FIBRE 100 g of IMMUNITY FRIEND contains 28.6 g of fibre.

A SOURCE OF PROTEIN 100 g of the product contains 16.9 g of protein.

• contributes to the growth of muscle mass;
• contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass;

NATURALLY OCCURRING B VITAMINS AND MINERALS The product's ingredients naturally contain B vitamins, including folate, as well as minerals.

NATURALLY OCCURRING FOLATE It is estimated that 10 g of IMMUNITY FRIEND contains approximately 80 µg of folate and 15 g contains approximately 120 µg of folate.

Folate:

• contributes to the normal function of the immune system;
• contributes to normal blood formation;
• contributes to normal psychological function;
• contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism;
• contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue;
• has a role in the process of cell division.

The claims concerning protein and folate are presented in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 432/2012 establishing a list of permitted health claims made on foods.

NATURALLY OCCURRING YEAST BETA-GLUCANS Beta-glucans are fibres naturally found in yeast cell walls.

We tested the beta-glucan content in the finished product. An independently tested batch of IMMUNITY FRIEND contained:

• approximately 750 mg of beta-glucans per 5 g of product;
• approximately 1.5 g of beta-glucans per 10 g of product;
• approximately 2.25 g of beta-glucans per 15 g of product;
• 15% of the product by weight in total.

Bioguto IMMUNITY FRIEND was created in search of a natural food product that could support normal immune system function and be easy to incorporate into the daily diet of the entire family.

We did not want to create yet another sweetened powder mixture or flavored food supplement. We chose three clear ingredients: Lithuanian blueberries, rose hips, and inactive nutritional yeast.

LITHUANIAN BLUEBERRIES

Blueberry powder is made from 100% Vaccinium myrtillusberries. The blueberries are collected in Lithuania.

The berries are dried at a low temperature of 42–50 °C to preserve as many active compounds as possible, then ground and packaged without the use of any additives.

SEEDLESS ROSE HIPS

The product uses organic dried rose hip powder produced in Lithuania.

The seeds are removed from the berries, they are dried at a low temperature, then ground. No chemicals or other additives are used during processing.

HIGH-QUALITY INACTIVE NUTRITIONAL YEAST

Organic inactive Saccharomyces cerevisiaeyeast is used.

It has a mild flavor, no longer raises dough, and does not cause fermentation. The yeast raw material is suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and contains no added artificial colorings, flavorings, or preservatives.

LABORATORY-TESTED BETA-GLUCAN CONTENT

We tested the beta-glucan content of the final product in an independent laboratory.

The tested product batch contained 15% beta-glucans, which is approximately 750 mg per 5 g of product.

SHORT AND CLEAR COMPOSITION

The product contains:

• 40% dried blueberries;
• 40% inactive nutritional yeast;
• 20% dried seedless rose hips.

The product contains no added sugar, sweeteners, colorings, flavorings, or preservatives.

Use as needed by mixing into food or a drink.

We recommend starting with a smaller amount and increasing it gradually, particularly if your diet has previously contained little fibre.

Adults: one tablespoon daily (approximately 15 g).

Children: we recommend one teaspoon daily (approximately 5 g). Start with a pinch.

IMMUNITY FRIEND can be added to:

• porridge;
• natural yoghurt or a plant-based alternative;
• kefir;
• sour cream;
• fruit and vegetable smoothies;
• fruit purées;
• curd cheese;

To preserve heat-sensitive vitamins, add the blend at the end of cooking or sprinkle it over prepared food.

Do not consume the product if you have an allergy or sensitivity to yeast, blueberries, or rosehips.

The product is high in fiber, so consuming a larger amount initially may cause temporary bloating.

It is recommended to start with a smaller amount and drink enough fluids.

When giving to a child for the first time, start with a small amount and observe individual tolerance.

Store in a tightly closed package, in a dry and cool place.

We choose packaging solutions that help to better protect the product and at the same time allow for more responsible disposal of packaging waste after use.

Jar

The product is packaged in an amber glass jar. Darker glass helps to protect the product from light exposure, and glass is an infinitely recyclable packaging material.

Lid

An aluminum lid is used. Aluminum is also recyclable, so it is recommended to sort it separately from the glass jar after use.

Label

The label for this product is made from special water-soluble paper. It dissolves in ordinary tap water in a few seconds, so the label can be easily rinsed off before sorting the jar.

Before sorting, we recommend emptying the jar completely.

No. No sugar or sweeteners are added to the product. The sugars listed in the nutritional value table are naturally present in berries and yeast.

An independent laboratory analysis of a product batch found:

• approximately 750 mg of beta-glucans per 5 g of product;
• approximately 1.5 g of beta-glucans per 10 g of product;
• approximately 2.25 g of beta-glucans per 15 g of product.

In total, beta-glucans accounted for 15% of the product's weight.

Why is the product called IMMUNITY FRIEND?

IMMUNITY FRIEND is made from three natural food ingredients – Lithuanian blueberries, deseeded rose hips, and inactive nutritional yeast. Nutritional yeast naturally contains folates, which help maintain the normal functioning of the immune system. The product is also rich in fiber, naturally contains other B vitamins, minerals, and yeast beta-glucans. Vitamins are not additionally added to the product – its nutritional value comes from the ingredients themselves.

Can the product be heated?

To better preserve heat-sensitive vitamins, it is recommended to add the mixture at the end of cooking or sprinkle it on already prepared food.
